Dr. Shapiro is currently participating as an IN-NETWORK provider for some insurance companies including Blue Cross, Aetna, Cigna, TriCare/TriWest. Please ask Dr. Shapiro if you have questions.

**Some plans above have separate carve outs for mental health and you may not know if yours does until you call them to ask.

If you have another insurance company, and it is a PPO, you will likely get reimbursed for services.  You will want to call the number on the back of your card and ask questions such as:

1. What are my mental health benefits for in network AND for out of network providers?  Specify that services will be conducted in an outpatient professional office setting.

2. Do I have to meet a deductible before services are covered?  If yes, how much is my deductible and how much have I met already?  Ask if your deductible is combined with your medical deductible.

3. After the deductible has been met (if you have one), what is my co-payment or co-insurance?

Payment is accepted via check, credit card, and cash. Either full payment or co-payments are due at the time of service.
